I know a lot of people start the new year off by making resolutions, doing cleanses, heading to the gym, etc. Well let's all get over it because I'm going to be one of those people too. Not just because I want to ~*~get healthy~*~ but because I enjoy doing experiments on myself. You see, between about Halloween and New Years Day I treated my poor body like a dumpster fire. Halloween candy led to Thanksgiving mashed potatoes which led Christmas cookies and sugary cocktails. Basically my body is hanging on for dear life and my liver in particular is pissed at me. Like, I texted my liver the other day a long apology and she just responded "K." We all know what that means.
So for the month of January I'm eating vegan (no dairy, no meat or fish) and having a total of zero booze. I'm currently on day 11 and have had a few moments where I've wanted to guzzle a martini and inhale a cow, but overall it's been okay. I'll keep you posted.
