Girl get your glow on.

As of May of of 2018, I am officially 30. Along with the usual panic, terror and joy of entering my 30s, I've also gotten really into skincare. Give me all of the serums, moisturizers, oils, whatever you have. In particular, I love a good glow on the face. I'm talking a JLo-level glow. I want people to look at me and get nervous I'm pregnant because I'm glowing so much.

One of the best ways to get a good ~*~glow~*~ is to exfoliate that cute face of yours. Exfoliation is "the process of removing dead cells from the surface of the skin. As dead cells accumulate, they interfere with light reflection, giving a dull appearance. Exfoliating can help improve skin radiance and even skin tone," says Dr. Joshua Zeichner, a New York-based dermatologist. Here are some of my favorite products I've been using to get my glow on...

Saturday Skin Rub-A-Dub Peel Gel

Okay so this isn't technically an exfoliator, but it's a gel peel that removes the filth out of your skin. This Saturday Skin Refining Peel Gel works with enzymes and peptides to rub away impurities that dull your skin. The first time I used this, I was kind of freaked out. It's like I could see the dead skin coming off my face as I was rubbing this gel on. Freaked out, but very excited. A glow was on the horizon. You can get the Saturday Skin Refining Peel Gel at Sephora.

Soprano Labs Face Polish

Most facial exfoliants I've tried are either way too rough and leave my skin dry or are way too weak and might as well just be a cleanser. I want to feel like my dead skin is being buffed away but I don't want it to feel like it's taking my entire face off. This Soprano Labs Face Polish falls in a perfect spot in the middle. The apricot seed powder, pink French clay, and sugar act as natural exfoliants and it's just enough to remove the dead skin off your face and feel like it's actually doing something without being too rough. Then the blend of oils and butters leave your skin feeling incredibly soft but not greasy. I've been using this exfoliant for a few months now and it's definitely a concrete part of my skin care routine. You can purchase it here.

Shiseido Facial Razor

This might freak some of you out but my name is Bridget Rogers and I shave my face. Yes, it's nice because you get rid of that peach fuzz or maybe a little more if that's your situation, but it's also incredible at removing the dead skin from your face. Before I started shaving my face I thought I had done a pretty good job of exfoliating and keeping the dead skin off my face. I THOUGHT. But the first time I used this Shiseido razor to shave my face, it was like it was snowing dead skin. The next day I could definitely notice a glow and my skin had never felt so soft. Shaving your face definitely isn't for everyone, so make sure you check this article out about what you should know before you do it. There are also a lot of ways to shave your face, but I found this method works best for me. When you're ready to take the plunge, you can get these Shiseido Facial Razors here.
